Somewhere, at some point in my life, bikes became more than a means of transportation. Naturally, that’s the way this fixation started – the only way I could or would go anywhere. If I couldn’t ride there, I wasn’t going to be there. This eventually meant that I had to ride longer to make it to work, home or whatever was on the table for the day. Then faster so I could get there, well, faster. Then it became more than just riding. Long story short, I fell in love. I fell in love with cycling, with bikes, and then with bike racing. It appears that I need to curb my competitive side somehow. It just made sense to do it with something I enjoy. So after toying with the idea for a year or more, I finally jumped in headfirst. And it consumed me. If the world imploded and left me with nothing but a bike race, I would be more than okay. Which brings me here with the Cuttin’ Crew, an awesome group of people who ride, race, and keep it real.
