How was your week?

“I’m sick of this whole messengers think they have it so tough, blah, blah, blah facade!” Heh…

These are the days people tend to forget about when they say ignorant stuff like that…

Thanks Julio for putting those photos up. Seriously, a year in Chicago is worth 3 most elsewhere. Hope everyone else got a good workout on their rollers today!

Okay. Sorry. No need to hate. It’s just that gloating makes everyone feel better for going through stuff like this. Admit it, you would/do brag about it too…

Hell yeah! Own that ride. Weather is just one part of it… they also forget that messengers are looked upon as untrustworthy and bottom-class-scum by every security douchesack with a plastic badge.

You’ve earned your right, and they’ll never know how it is. You can smile and hold your head up through it all. Your character is 10 times as tough as your average joe/jane.

I had one of Robbie V’s employees turn the fan all the way up and throw ice cubes at me while I rode my CompuTrainer through the Central Park course. I wore a messenger bag, and every 15 minutes I would get off the bike and run to the front of the facility and make the janitor sign my copy of the “Wall Street Journal” - and once in a while, one of the other people would chase me and tell me to leave my bag at the “desk.” At the end of the session, I wrote GOLD STAR on a piece of cardboard, put it above one of the bathrooms, and went inside. I even free-locked my bike in the hallway.

    ah, the good ole days…

It seems the douches have been few and far between this winter. I’ve been offered coffee and hot tea a record amount … I still believe most people are kind by nature and everyone else? Well, they’re just jealous or scared
